CTOnews.com, March 20 (Xinhua)-- Samsung upgraded its firmware support policy from two years to three years, and later promised to support four major Android major operating system upgrades on some devices.

In short, Samsung's Galaxy S21 series (including S21 FE) and every subsequent S flagship phone are eligible for four major operating system upgrades. The same applies to Galaxy A33, Galaxy A53, Galaxy A73 and newer models.

Android 13 will be the last major operating system update for the following Galaxy phones and tablets. These Samsung devices will not receive Android 14 and One UI 6.0system updates, but they will continue to receive security patches for some time. If the user's device is running an operating system version earlier than Android 13 and is not in the list, they will not receive an Android 14 update.

The latest Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 + and Galaxy S23 Ultra are expected to be the first to upgrade Android 14 and One UI 6.0, followed by older S-Series flagship products and Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 (expected in August), and folding screen phones are expected to be pre-loaded with One UI 5.1.1 updates.
