Internal testers said the product is a new category in the industry and can be compared to the "fitness version of Switch" in terms of function. "the bigger feature of this product is the integration of a camera and a large screen, accurate identification and real-time feedback."

According to reports, this product has its own exclusive fitness content, but can also be used with Keep App, can provide users with a variety of courses, and can be used with dance blankets.

According to informed sources, the product is highly expected within Keep, has made a lot of technical investment, has a sports engine independently developed by Keep, and the AI computing power has reached 5TFlops. For comparison, Peloton, the head company of international intelligent fitness hardware, can achieve 2T computing power.

But in fact, hardware products are not easy to do. At the beginning of last year, Peloton, known as the "first stock of intelligent fitness", was "kicked out" of the Nasdaq 100. at the time, the star company said it would outsource all production of its fitness bikes and treadmills, lay off 570 people, and several times sold, or even sought outside investment to sell shares.

According to Keep's prospectus published on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange last year, the average number of monthly active users of the app in the six months to June 30, 2022 was 37.7 million, an increase of 13% compared with the same period in 2021.

In terms of revenue, Keep achieved revenue of 1.107 billion yuan in 2020 and 1.619 billion yuan in 2021, and in the three months to March 31, 2022, revenue reached 417 million yuan, an increase of 37.6 percent over the same period last year. Gross profit margins in 2019, 2020, 2021 and the three months ending March 30, 2022 were 41.1%, 45.1%, 41.8% and 42.0%, respectively. The adjusted net loss (measured by non-IFRS) of Keep for the three months ended March 31, 2022 was 155 million yuan, compared with 237 million yuan for the same period in 2021.

Data show that in the three months to March 30, 2022, private brand products (consumer goods) contributed 213 million yuan in revenue, accounting for 51 percent, 161 million yuan for member subscriptions and online paid content, and 43.3 million yuan for advertising and other services, accounting for 10.4 percent.
