CTOnews.com March 19 news, MNT is a German development of open source hardware and software company, the company recently launched a 7-inch screen laptop on the crowdfunding website Crowd Supply- MNT Pocket Reform.

The MNT Pocket Reform measures 200 x 126 x 45 mm in size and weighs 1.1 kg. It features a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 resolution LCD screen, 8GB of DDR4 memory and 128GB of eMMC flash memory, a MicroSD card reader and an M.2 2280 slot for expanded storage.

The MNT Pocket Reform comes with a 60-key Kaihua Choc White mechanical shaft that supports RGB backlighting. In addition, there are four mouse buttons and a miniature optical trackball below the keyboard. The MNT Pocket Reform has a battery capacity of 8000mAh and is charged through the built-in USB-C interface for 4 hours.

In terms of processor, MNT Pocket Reform adopts modular CPU and memory design. The standard version processor is NXP i.MX 8M Plus, which contains four ARM Cortex-A53 CPU cores with 1.8 GHz main frequency, Vivante GC7000UL GPU and NPU unit.

The machine comes pre-installed with Linux operating system, optional Debian GNU / Linux, GNOME 4, Sway desktop environment.

In terms of interfaces, the machine supports:

microSD card slot

Micro HDMI connector

ix Industrial Ethernet port 1 GbE (with optional RJ45 cable)

MNT Pocket Reform is priced at $899 in black (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 6194 yuan) and $969 in purple (currently about 6676 yuan) and will ship in October.
