He searched the algorithms of the relevant platforms on the Internet, and combined with his own technical knowledge, realized the function of mass download of video through "package grab" analysis.

At the beginning of 2021, Chen sold his debugged platform algorithm for 1000 yuan. In addition, he also bought some algorithms online and used auxiliary software to bypass the verification programs of Internet platforms such as a short video platform and a community e-commerce platform to obtain the background data of the platform. These algorithms can not only achieve batch likes, batch downloads, but also obtain the personal information of platform users to make illegal profits.

In January 2022, the public security organs found that someone had publicly sold the cracking procedure of a well-known community e-commerce platform on the Internet, and Chen was arrested after investigation. In October of the same year, when Hu Chunjian, chief procurator of the Minhang District Procuratorate, handled the case, by checking his social software chat records and Alipay transaction records, he found that there was another person involved in the case, Zhou Mou.

Zhou, who is also a programmer, bought the algorithm from Chen in December 2021 for 3000 yuan and used it to obtain platform user data. Soon after, Chen bought Zhou's algorithm for cracking the Internet background from Zhou and continued to sell it to others. Zhou was also influenced by Chen and began to sell his own algorithms.

After investigation, the defendants Chen and Zhou provided a program specially used to hack into the computer information system. Chen's illegal income was more than 170,000 yuan, and Zhou's illegal income was more than 10,000 yuan. His behavior is suspected of providing the crime of intruding into computer information system programs. On November 17, 2022, Minhang District Procuratorate initiated a public prosecution against the defendants Chen and Zhou. CTOnews.com learned from the Minhang inspection official account that the final defendant Chen Mou was convicted of providing hacking into computer information system programs and sentenced to one year and six months in prison and fined; defendants Zhou and Zhang were sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of eight months and 10 months respectively, and their sentences were suspended and fined respectively.
