According to reports, with the increasing popularity of high-level automatic driving, lidar, which ensures driving comfort and safety, has received more and more attention as its core device. High performance, small size, low cost, low power consumption and high safety lidar is the direction that future manufacturers are chasing.
The research team generated a natural multi-channel random modulation signal by integrating the modulation instability state of the microcavity optical comb, and its signal chaotic bandwidth can exceed 7GHz, and the modulation instability state of the optical comb shows good robustness in the detuning range of 18GHz, which can cope with the frequency jitter of the external pump light source. Meanwhile, the threshold power of the modulated unstable comb is 1-2 orders of magnitude lower than that of other material platforms due to the high nonlinear coefficient of the material, and can be co-integrated with on-chip DFB lasers.
▲ Integrated parallel chaotic lidar system architecture On this basis, the research team built a parallel lidar demonstration system and carried out high-precision three-dimensional imaging on the physical target, verified the single-pixel imaging of 10-channel scale, and proved good orthogonal isolation between each channel. In addition, the research team also tested the anti-noise power suppression ratio of the received signal under different signal interference aliasing. The measured results show that under the threshold criterion of 3dB and the integration time of 12.5μm, the power dynamic range of the single-channel signal is close to 60dB, the anti-noise power suppression ratio of the FM continuous wave signal is close to 30dB, and the anti-noise power suppression ratio of the random modulation signal can reach 22dB, showing good active anti-interference capability. These results are expected to promote the next generation of high-performance anti-jamming lidar revolution.
