AMD will launch a series of EPYC Genoa-X server processors with 3D V-Cache this year, with a very large 3D V-Cache cache and Zen 4 core, and will support DDR5 memory as well as PCIe Gen5 and CXL interfaces.

According to the information released by Wccftech, the two AMD EPYC Genoa-X CPU will adopt similar specifications, and both chips will be based on SP5 slots and use the "B1" version.

In terms of parameters, it will adopt a core configuration similar to the existing Genoa chips, including 12 Zen 4 CCD and one I / O chip, with a total of 96 cores, and the TDP can reach 320W~400W.

Unlike ordinary Genoa chips, each Zen 4 CCD will be equipped with an additional 64MB 3D V-Cache stack (total 768MB), including 1152MB L3 cache, 96 MB L2 cache, and 3 MB L1 cache (instruction / data), which is 2.6 times higher than the standard Genoa processor cache and even 56% larger than Milan-X (the first generation of EPYC 3D V-Cache chips).

The maximum frequency of the AMD EPYC Genoa-X chip is 3.7GHz, which is the same as the EPYC 9654 "Genoa" CPU with 96 cores. The top model of this series should be the EPYC 984X, with 96 cores and 1152 MB level 3 cache.
