Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, March 19 (Xinhua)-- Walt Disney launched an ad-supported version of its Disney + streaming service in December last year and raised the price of the ad-free version by 38%. The data show that Disney + subscribers have not left since then, according to the Wall Street Journal.
According to the latest data from subscriber analytics firm Antenna, about 94% of subscribers have not left after the monthly fee for the original ad-free Disney + service has risen by $3 from $7.99.
Disney declined to comment on Antenna's figures. Us media pointed out that the figures showed that Disney still had room to further increase the fees for streaming services, which was also the action that Robert Iger, the newly returned chief executive, had hinted at.
Last week, Robert Iger revealed details of plans to help the company's streaming business turn a profit, hinting that Disney could raise prices further and start licensing its streaming content to competitors.
