This virtual production studio is located in Yuyuan Road near Jiangsu Road in the center of Shanghai City. The studio adopts Sony Black Color Crystal B series LED screen with a screen height of 5.47 meters and an arc length of 15.2 meters, with a total area of 83 square meters.

Sony aims to create high-standard virtual production solutions, so in this virtual production studio equipped with Sony black crystal LED screen, CineAltaV 2 movie camera, and Sony 4K HDR monitor three core products.

On the one hand, the LED screen with an area of 83 square meters meets the needs of creators for screen size, and even if there is studio lighting and interference from multiple camera lights during shooting, the LED screen can present real and delicate color layers, accurately restoring scenes under different occasions and different lights.

Sony LED screen, CineAltaV 2 movie camera, Sony 4K HDR monitor three core products are used together, highlighting the advantages of unified color scientific management of different core products of the same brand in the real shooting link, without complicated post-color matching, the pictures seen by the audience through the monitor have quite accurate colors, presenting a movie-level texture, making people feel no boundaries between the real world and the virtual world.

In terms of Sony black crystal LED screens, Sony engineers have made more product improvements for virtual studio applications. Brightness up to 1800nit, almost free from light interference, presents a bright background picture. At the same time, it has excellent anti-reflection performance, DOI index value is 0, almost no reflection phenomenon occurs. The black crystal LED screen also has a high contrast ratio of 100000:1, which enhances the performance of dark details and captures subtle changes in dark details, making the picture more realistic. The wide viewing angle can reach 170 degrees horizontally/170 degrees vertically, and shooting from the side basically does not produce color cast phenomenon. Photographers can rest assured that they can shoot at a large angle and have more creative freedom.

The black color LED screen is equipped with X1 chip, which enables the LED screen to support wide color gamut including sRGB, DCI-P3, BT.2020, and is more excellent in color level performance.

Sony has also developed two features specifically for virtual production design. One is Camera Sync (CTOnews.com note: camera synchronization), black color crystal B series LED screen with Sony CineAltaV / CineAltaV 2, set the camera shutter opening angle and frame rate on the display side, through advanced algorithms to achieve synchronization. This function can effectively reduce the undesirable phenomenon when the camera shoots the LED screen, so that the ideal picture close to the film can be seen through the monitor.

The other is to support the mainstream lighting control protocol Art-Net, which can freely control the LED screen as lighting, and can adjust the color temperature and RGB value of the black color crystal LED screen through the same operation control interface with other lighting equipment to improve and simplify the workflow.

In addition to these black technology support, this virtual production studio also uses a unique design, the studio is equipped with a mobile LED screen, easy for photographers to complete dual-camera shooting, reduce rendering pressure, supplement the shooting effect of different positions, but also can complete high-quality color fill light, real-time positioning and other work.

This virtual production studio enables cutting-edge motion capture technology, thanks to the advanced UE5 real-time rendering system and OptiTrack optical motion capture tracking system, which accurately captures and tracks camera motion through 24 high-speed cameras and synchronizes it to UE5, displaying rendered images on LED screens in real time with low latency.
