The films wandering Earth and wandering Earth 2 were released in February 2019 and January 2023, respectively. The series is directed by Guo Fan and starred specially by Wu Jing, based on Liu Cixin's novel of the same name. Wandering Earth 2, which is currently in theaters, has earned 4.006 billion at the box office as of press time, with a Douban rating of 8.4.
