CTOnews.com March 17 news, according to the latest report released by market research firm Newzoo, PC and game console market in 2022 total revenue of 92.3 billion US dollars, down 2.2% year-on-year.

This was mainly due to a 4.2% decline in the console games market, while the PC paid games market actually grew by 1.8%. According to Newzoo, there were 1.1 billion PC gamers and 611 million console gamers last year.

Even with the decrease, PC and console gaming will still exceed 100 billion hours in 2022. The average player plays 15 games per platform, and the average spend per platform in the U.S. market is $200.

Newzoo also reminds everyone that from 2015 to 2022, the CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of the PC and game console market will still be 5.8%.
