CTOnews.com, March 17, China General Nuclear Corporation announced that the piling operation of the first wind turbine foundation of the 2 750000 kilowatt offshore wind power project in Huizhou Port of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation began, which marks the formal start of the offshore main body project of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area's first inexpensive offshore wind power project.

According to China General Nuclear Group, the second offshore wind power project in Huizhou Port is located in the south of Port Town, Huidong County, Huizhou City, with a water depth of 31m-40m, and the nearest distance from land is about 22km. It plans to install 10 8.5MW turbines, 45 12MW turbines and 9 14MW turbines, and will simultaneously build a 220kV offshore booster station and expand the land centralized control center.

CTOnews.com inquired about the previous announcements of China General Nuclear Corporation and learned that in addition to the projects currently under construction, CGN has completed offshore wind power projects in this area. At present, the project has been put into operation with an installed capacity of 250,000 kilowatts.

In addition, after the completion of the Port II Offshore Wind Power Project, the installed capacity of the CNNC Huizhou Port Offshore Wind Power Base will reach 1 million kilowatts, becoming Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area's first million kilowatt offshore wind power project base.
