CTOnews.com, March 16 (Xinhua) according to the website of the State-owned assets Supervision and Administration Commission, China Power Construction recently signed a comprehensive energy supply project in Shanghai for the integration of charge and storage, the world's highest altitude photothermal power station, Xizang Zabuye source network.

According to reports, the Xizang Zabuye source network integrated energy supply project is located on the southeast side of Zabuye Salt Lake, about 165km north of Zhongba County, Xigaze City, with an elevation of more than 4500 meters. it is the first in the world to realize clean energy isolated grid operation with trough photothermal power stations at the end of the power grid, providing 24-hour safe, stable and reliable comprehensive energy supply throughout the day.

CTOnews.com learned from the SASAC website that the project consists of power (photothermal + photovoltaic), load (electricity, steam), energy storage (heat storage + electrochemical energy storage), power distribution and control system, including 40 MW trough photothermal power station, 35 MW photovoltaic power station, 20 MW to 40 MW hour electric energy storage.
