The two sides will jointly optimize the cross-border logistics services between China and South Korea, combine the experience and advantages of both sides in the logistics field, accelerate the realization of the coverage of Cainiao International Express's cross-border "three-day delivery" throughout South Korea, so that Korean consumers can have the shopping experience of local e-commerce platform for cross-border consumption.

According to import and export data previously released by the General Administration of Customs, China-South Korea trade volume reached US $362.2 billion in 2022, making South Korea China's fourth largest trading partner in 2022. In 2022, Cainiao continued to add weight to China-South Korea cross-border logistics. In the first half of the year, Cainiao officially started South Korea distribution center and card shift line, and the overall delivery time of cross-border packages is expected to save more than 12 hours; in the second half of the year, during the Double 11 Promotion Period, Cainiao and Express Express officially started Yantai Export Preferred Warehouse, plus Weihai Preferred Warehouse previously opened, cross-border commodities stocked in Shandong have gradually realized the "next day arrival" of orders, and some orders can achieve "next day arrival."

In this logistics cooperation between Cainiao and CJ, both parties will further optimize and explore the cross-border logistics services between China and South Korea for Korean consumers and domestic merchants. For example, both parties and AliExpress have conducted in-depth discussions on the construction of a performance center in South Korea and service guarantee for local consumers.

Shen Yongzhu, representative of CJ Logistics Express and E-commerce Department, mentioned at AliExpress South Korea press conference in March that "for CJ, it means creating greater value to establish cooperative relations with global leading e-commerce partners such as AliExpress and Cainiao. In the future, we will continue to optimize cross-border logistics services, improve collaboration systems, and optimize consumer services and experiences. "

Wang Wei, head of Cainiao International Express Asia Pacific, said,"The cooperation with CJ Logistics marks the further improvement of Cainiao China-South Korea cross-border logistics system and cross-border shopping experience. Even in response to cross-border peak seasons such as the 328th anniversary celebration, it can still provide logistics service experience and guarantee comparable to local e-commerce. "In the past year, Cainiao South Korea's business has maintained stable growth. After Weihai and Yantai preferred warehouses were launched successively, services such as door-to-door collection, direct delivery of goods collection and contract performance custody have further reduced the burden on merchants. The preferred warehouse delivery time is about 20% more optimized than cross-border direct delivery, and the quantity of warehouse receipts is optimized. The average daily single volume in the fourth quarter of 2022 has increased by nearly 100% compared with that in the third quarter.

It is understood that the average daily cross-border package volume of Cainiao ranks among the top four in the world, among which the logistics products of "5 US dollars and 10 days arrive" have covered 20 countries in the world such as Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, etc.
