CTOnews.com Nothing CEO and founder Carl Pei published an extensive feature article in an interview with Forbes, revealing known facts about Ear (1) and Phone (1) and sharing some new details about the upcoming Ear (2) wireless headset.

The new audio devices will support LHDC 5.0 (CTOnews.com note: low-latency HD audio codec), meaning any certified high-resolution audio will be fully utilized. It's a codec that delivers higher quality audio over Bluetooth, and Carl Pei says he has contacted Spotify to update their music library to LHDC.

In addition, Ear (2) will have IP54 protection against some dust particles and water splashes.

Nothing Ear (1) wireless headset sales in the United States accounted for 1/3 of the total sales of 600,000 units, Carl Pei revealed that the next Nothing Phone (2) mobile phone will also enter the North American market.

Nothing revealed that the team of experts working on Ear (2) increased by 30% to 700 people. The new wearables were tested on more than 120 phones and laptops, a 52 percent increase from the 70 devices used to test Ear (1).

Nothing Ear (2) headphones are scheduled to be released March 22.

The explosion shows that Nothing Ear (2) places the noise reduction microphone on the top of the earphone handle, and the earphone handle also adds a new decoration and is printed with "Nothing Ear (2)"LOGO. The headphones feature 11.6mm speakers and support hybrid ANC (Active Noise Reduction). Each headset weighs 4.5g. A single headset lasts about 6 hours and a combined life of 36 hours.
