When Maple, the development board of Arduino-like STM32, is used under Win7, the dfu driver cannot be installed, resulting in an error in the upload program and no dfu device can be found. Later, I saw that it was officially recommended to use winXP, so I installed a XP virtual machine to use it, but it still didn't work. Because Maple domestic use is very little, there is not much information, can not be found. Finally, I came across this solution occasionally when I was browsing the official forum. I have tried it by myself, and I don't need a virtual machine, but I can use it directly under win7.

After exasperating that the board does not work properly with the default driver in Windows 7 64-bit, I have a problem with Windows XP 32-bit VM (VMWare) on Windows 7 64-bit (because it has been enumerating devices in the host), and I try Feyr's method. It works very well!

Step by step:

Download the binary libUSB package (http://sourceforge.net/projects/libusb-win32/files/)) and extract somewhere (we call it c:\ LIBUSB)

Insert the maple board into the computer

Open device Manager

Switch Maple board to continuous boot loader mode (click reset until fast flashing, then slow flashing; reset again, and immediately click and hold the boot "but" button until it changes to slow flashing mode, release).

It should show some damaged USB devices in your device, not com ports

Run the libusb-INF wizard (c:\ libusb\ bin\ x86\ INF-wizard.exe)

Click the dialog box, the default value should be OK, or you can fill in some descriptive information

Save INF and install it. It will produce a large red prompt that the driver is unsigned and there is a problem; however, it will still work.

Update the MAPLE 003 device in device Manager and select the generated INF file.

To load any program:

Run Maple IDE and click the reset button on the Maple board when you click upload. It should detect and load data. If the compilation takes too long, try clicking reset later in the upload. I used alternate interval flashes to prove that it works for me, rather than flashing the code directly.

The serial drivers included with the Maple IDE package work fine, so you can use them directly for COM ports.
