CTOnews.com, March 16 (Xinhua)-- since the release of iOS 15 in 2021, Apple has continuously enriched Apple Maps map data and detail, and customized 3D models for landmarks in major cities.

Apple has launched Detailed City Experience in Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York, Paris, San Francisco, Sydney, Toronto and other cities, and promised to cover more landmarks in more cities in the future.

Montreal-based Andr é Baev and Simon Gardinier developers recently launched a new Landmarks app that collects more than 3003D landmarks in the Apple Maps app, including the Royal Opera House in London and the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

The app is currently available on App Store and is available for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV and can be accessed by Apple devices with A12 Bionic or M1 and higher chips.

Each landmark has an immersive animated landscape where users can interact in the application and support switching between light and dark modes.

The app is sorted by city and promises to be updated regularly based on the Apple Maps app. The app is free to use, no advertising, but has an optional gyroscope feature that can be unlocked for $0.29 (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 2 yuan).
