CTOnews.com, March 15 (Xinhua) according to financial data, global wafer, the world's third-largest silicon wafer, had consolidated revenue of NT $70.29 billion (CTOnews.com note: about 15.815 billion yuan) in 2022, up 15% from a year earlier.

According to the Taiwan Economic Daily, Global Jingjing's operating profit in 2022 was 30.34 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 6.826 billion yuan), an increase of 30.3 percent over the same period last year, with a gross operating margin of 43.2 percent. The net operating profit was 24.98 billion New Taiwan dollars (currently about 5.62 billion yuan), an increase of 41.2 percent year-on-year, and the net operating profit was 35.5 percent. The net profit after tax was NT $15.37 billion (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 3.458 billion yuan), an increase of 29.5% over the same period last year, and the net interest rate after tax was 21.9%.

In addition, Global Crystal's revenue in the fourth quarter of 2022 reached NT $18.39 billion (currently about RMB 4.138 billion), growing for 12 consecutive quarters and breaking the 70 billion mark for the whole year, both reaching record highs. Revenue reached NT $5.93 billion (currently about 1.334 billion yuan) in January and NT $5.98 billion (currently about 1.346 billion yuan) in February, the highest in the same period on record.

Global Crystal said that although the global economy faces a major recession risk in 2023, the global economy is expected to come out of the trough in 2023 and gradually pick up in 2024. Although the semiconductor industry is facing a cyclical downturn in the short term, the long-term momentum is still supported by the development of 5G, electric vehicles and data centers.
