CTOnews.com March 15 news, Casio today released its 40th anniversary G-SHOCK watch, including GMW-B5000PG, DW-5040PG and GMW-B5000PS models.

According to reports, "GMW-B5000PS / GMW-B5000PG" is based on the all-metal model "GMW-B5000D" while maintaining the appearance of the first G-SHOCK "DW-5000C". The bezel and strap have high hardness.

Officials say G-SHOCK has evolved since its birth in 1983, and Casio has developed a deep hardening process specifically for stainless steel, which is about three times harder than ordinary stainless steel. Stainless steel material after heat treatment and recrystallization treatment, the formation of crystal lines, seemingly fine metal fragments scattered on the surface, matte texture, creating a simple atmosphere. As the crystal particles in each part are different, users can enjoy the unique pattern, tone and luster of each work.

The collection comes in two colors, silver "GMW-B5000PS" and gold IP "GMW-B5000PG", with a 40th anniversary logo on the back and the words "SINCE 1983" on the dial.

In addition, Casio will also announce that the "DW-5040PG" model printed with the word "PROJECT TEAM 'Tough'" will be released on April 21, with deep hardening of metal parts such as rear covers, locks and rings while replicating the original machine design.

In terms of price, "GMW-B5000PS / GMW-B5000PG" sells for 121000 yen (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 6195 yuan), and "DW-5040PG" sells for 38500 yen (currently about 1971 yuan).
