CTOnews.com March 15 news, BMW Group said today that it will go all out to electrify, and revealed the information of 2025 new generation models.

According to the BMW Group, the new generation model will be put into production in 2025 and at least six models will be launched within 24 months. The first is a sports utility vehicle (SAV) and an all-electric sedan in the market segment of the BMW 3 series.

BMW Group said that the new generation model will adopt a new design language and a newly developed electronic and electrical architecture, with a new user interface and human-computer interaction concepts, as well as a newly developed, high-performance electric drive and battery system. And "the cycle sustainability of the product life cycle has reached a new level".

Data show that BMW Group's total revenue in 2022 exceeded 142.6 billion euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.05 trillion yuan), an increase of 28.2 percent over the same period last year. Total car sales reached 2399632, of which pure electric models rose 107.7 per cent year-on-year to 215752, accounting for 9 per cent of the group's total global sales.

BMW Group has previously said that with the rapid growth of product array and market demand, BMW Group plans to deliver more than 2 million pure electric vehicles worldwide by the end of 2025. At that time, the BMW "New Generation" model will further accelerate the market penetration of pure electric models for BMW Group.

By 2030, BMW expects 50 per cent of its sales to come from pure electric models, with cumulative sales of 10 million electric vehicles. At that time, BMW Group's Rolls-Royce, MINI brand, BMW Motorrad urban travel series will also be fully electrified.
