CTOnews.com March 15 news, today, the KDE team released the DE Plasma 5.27.3 desktop environment maintenance update, 2 weeks after the last update. This update is mainly on ARM devices that do not support Gamma LUT but support color transformation matrices, such as the Acer Spin 513 Chromebook with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c processor, enabling Night Color.

This maintenance update continues to improve the Plasma Wayland session, optimizes the SDDM login screen for the touch screen, and integrates the KDE Frameworks 5.104 software suite released last week. CTOnews.com learned from the report that the maintenance update also improved the screenshot operation of Plasma Wayland and fixed a problem that caused some applications to crash when the monitor went to sleep.

KDE Plasma 5.27.3 also defaults to a 15-minute inactive sleep timeout for new users, correctly generates power configurations on laptops, and fixes the crash of the powerdevil power management subsystem in a multi-monitor environment.
