CTOnews.com, March 15 (Xinhua) since Microsoft announced its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January last year, Sony has been expressing its concerns in front of European and British regulators.

As a result, Microsoft has signed 10-year agreements with Nintendo and Nvidia, saying that it will definitely bring Xbox games such as call of Duty to players on Switch and GeForce Now after the acquisition, in order to show regulators that they dare not monopolize.

Microsoft announced on Tuesday that it had signed a 10-year agreement with Boosteroid of Ukraine to bring a large number of Xbox PC games to the little-known streaming platform.

As Microsoft Vice Chairman and President Brad Smith said in a statement, "this is partly to make regulators more aware that our acquisition of Activision Blizzard will enable call of Duty to run on more devices."

As Smith told the Wall Street Journal, they are expected to sign more similar deals in the coming weeks. "if the only argument is that Microsoft will refuse to provide call of Duty to other platforms, then we have now signed a contract to bring it to more devices and platforms."

Of course, Sony clearly disagrees with this view. In a recent filing with the UK's Competition and Markets Authority, the PlayStation maker pointed out that Microsoft said the same thing before buying Bethesda Softworks, while Starsky did not provide it to the PS platform, which was one reason it could not believe the company's cross-platform commitment to call of Duty.

Founded in 2017, Boosteroid now has 4 million streaming customers and servers in 9 European countries and 6 states in the United States. These users pay 7.49 euros a month (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 55 yuan) to play games on any smartphone, Windows / Mac/ linux-based PC or Android TV device, similar to the Nvidia GeForce Now gaming platform.

At present, Boosteroid already supports users to play games on other platforms, including Steam, Epic, Blizzard Battle.net, EA Origin, R Star's own game platform and WarGaming for Tank World.
