CTOnews.com March 14 news, Asustek IoT Internet of things Division in Germany's Embedded World 2023 (International embedded Exhibition) released a new Tinker Board 3 development board.

Asustek Tinker Board 3 is equipped with Ruixin RK3568 quad-core ARM Cortex-A55 processor, optional 2GB, 4GB or 8GB dual-channel LPDDR4X memory, equipped with microSD card reader, and optional support for eMMC storage up to 64GB.

The board measures 100x100mm, much larger than a raspberry pie, and is equipped with two PCIe ports, a SIM card slot, HDMI, LVDS and eDP display interfaces, and multiple input and output interfaces:

1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C

2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A

2 x USB 2.0

1 x 3.5mm audio port

2 x RJ45 network port

CTOnews.com found that Asustek Tinker Board 3 also supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which can be used for some Internet of things devices that need to run 24 hours a day. Asustek plans to offer "open-frame tablets" supported by embedded Tinker Board 3, including information kiosks, digital signage or other 10.1in and 15.6in displays.
