Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--

According to CTOnews.com news on March 14, sharing portable battery is often ridiculed as a "wallet assassin", mainly because of its soaring prices, slow charging, easy to borrow and difficult to repay.

CTOnews.com learned from the official account of Hangzhou Consumer Protection Commission that in order to understand the consumer pain points of sharing portable battery's services, Hangzhou Consumer Protection Commission, under the guidance of Zhejiang Consumer Protection Commission, jointly carried out a special supervision survey on sharing portable battery in the main urban area of Hangzhou at the end of 2022.

The survey results show that 1006 respondents regularly use shared portable battery, accounting for 100%. 1006 respondents used more than 10 brands that shared portable battery, while Meituan, Street Electric, Monster charging, incoming calls, small electricity and other brands ranked among the top.

The survey results show that among the 1006 respondents, 717 respondents said that the reasonable price for sharing portable battery's time charge is 1-2 yuan per hour, accounting for 71.7%. In actual use, only 302 respondents said that the price for the last use of shared portable battery was 1-2 yuan per hour, accounting for 29.9%. 427 respondents said that the price for the last use of shared portable battery was 2-3 yuan per hour. 221 interviewees said that the price for the last use of shared portable battery was 3-5 yuan per hour, accounting for 21.9%. Fifty-nine respondents said that the price of using shared portable battery last time was more than 5 yuan per hour, accounting for 5.8%, and the price deviated greatly from consumers' expectations.

855 respondents felt that portable battery's billing price had risen in recent years, accounting for 84.7% of the total. 565 interviewees said they had encountered the problem of different charging standards in different scenarios, accounting for 56.0%.

On-site experience shows that the prices of different brands are different in the same region, and the prices of the same brand are different in different regions, even if the prices of the same brand (such as "Street Power" and "Meituan") are different in different stores on the same floor. At present, the rental price of sharing portable battery in the market is mostly 3 yuan per hour, while the price of popular scenic spots, business districts, stations and other places is 4-6 yuan per hour; at individual points, the price even reaches 8 yuan per hour.

The survey results show that 269 of the 1006 respondents still said that sharing portable battery had the problem of excessive collection and transmission of personal information without express or consent, accounting for 26.7%.

The survey results show that there are still some technical problems in sharing portable battery, perplexing consumers. For example, among the 1006 interviewees, 522 interviewees said they had encountered the problem of unresponsive code scanning when renting and sharing portable battery, accounting for 51.7%. 478 interviewees said they had encountered bad contact with portable battery, charging intermittently or sweeping portable battery can not be used, accounting for 47.4%. 226interviewees said they had encountered sharing portable battery billing, no SMS messages, Wechat official account, etc., accounting for 22.4% of 346 interviewees said they had encountered the problem that portable battery was still billing after it was returned, accounting for 34.3%. After telephone consultation, it is concluded that there may be a system error, portable battery plugged in inverted or not plugged in, the need for a second click to confirm the termination of charging, the existence of physical buttons, and other reasons that cause consumers to think that they have returned successfully, but in fact, the backstage has not stopped billing. but the consumption reminder is missing.

The discharge capacity test results show that only street electricity, double electricity and other brand rated capacity is basically consistent with the secondary discharge capacity. There is a big difference between portable battery's explicit capacity and the actual output to external load capacity calibrated by other brand manufacturers, which may have capacity attenuation after recycling; portable battery's internal circuits and interfaces are aging and the output is unstable; portable battery's conversion efficiency is not up to standard or false standard and other technical problems.

The survey results show that among the 1006 interviewees, the number of people who expressed average, dissatisfied and very dissatisfied with the charging speed of shared portable battery were 388,50,16 respectively, accounting for 45.4%. 394 interviewees said that shared portable battery currently has the phenomenon of low charging efficiency but long charging on time, accounting for 39.0%.

According to the survey on how reasonable the charging efficiency of shared portable battery is, 448 interviewees think that it is reasonable to charge 21% Murray in half an hour, accounting for 44.4%. 370 respondents thought that it was reasonable to charge more than 41% in half an hour, accounting for 36.7%. Professional test data show that the maximum charge of mobile phones reaches 20% in 30 minutes, about 40% in 60 minutes, and 40% in 90 minutes for some brands. Comparing the charging time required in the same brand mobile phone charging 20% battery test and 40% battery test, it also takes 30 minutes and 60 minutes respectively, which is different from that expected by most respondents.

Charge the mobile phone of the same brand for 30 minutes, 60 minutes and 90 minutes, and the charging data of the phone:

Test data show that shared portable battery can charge an average of 19% of mobile phones in 30 minutes, while non-shared portable battery can charge an average of 33% of mobile phones in 30 minutes. Test data show that shared portable battery can charge an average of 39% of mobile phones in 60 minutes, while non-shared portable battery can charge mobile phones an average of 66% in 60 minutes. Obviously, the charging efficiency of non-shared portable battery is higher than that of shared portable battery.

The relevant person in charge of the Hangzhou Consumer Protection Commission said that under normal circumstances, portable battery's charger will wear out 20 to 30 percent after 500 chargers, and the warranty period for qualified shared portable battery had better be half a year. Because with the addition of charging, use, environment and other factors, the service life will be greatly shortened. In order to reduce unnecessary safety risks, it is recommended to replace portable battery once within two months.
