RISC-V is an open instruction set architecture (ISA) based on the principle of reduced instruction set computing (RISC), which can be applied to the required devices free of charge. Because of its openness, low power consumption and other advantages, it has been widely used in the field of IoT, and Asustek is the latest addition.

Asus Tinker V is equipped with a 64-bit RISC-V processor, Renesas RZ / Five, and 1GHz single-core Andes AX45MP, so its performance is not very strong. The board also contains 1GB DDR4 memory, microSD card slots, optional 16GB eMMC modules and SPI flash memory.

Asustek said the development board supports Debian and Yocto Linux operating systems, and CTOnews.com has not yet found pricing information.
