The fire broke out on February 4 this year at a Ford parking site, when the company was conducting a pre-delivery quality inspection. Ford said the root cause of the fire was identified shortly after the accident.

After this incident, Ford suspended production and shipments of the Fmuri 150 Lightning. As for the reason for the shutdown of the FMI 150 Lightning, Ford claimed that the faulty battery in the SK On was the cause of the shutdown, but SK On retorted that it was an one-time problem and that there was no quality problem with the battery.

In late February this year, SK On resumed the battery production line of the Ford electric pickup FMI150 Lightning. At that time, sources revealed that with the restart of the SK On battery production line, Ford is also expected to resume production and shipments of the FMI150 Lightning in the near future.

On March 2 this year, Ford said it would start producing Fmuri 150 Lightning electric pickup trucks again on March 13.
