Thanks to CTOnews.com netizen grass Luo Yuzi for the clue delivery! CTOnews.com March 14 news, Changguang Satellite Deputy General Manager Jia Hongguang in an interview with China's Jilin Network revealed that this year's Jilin No. 1 satellite launch plan.

He said there was a preliminary plan to launch 41 satellites in late June and early July, and the number of satellites and launches were expected to be adjusted slightly by then. It is planned to complete the launch of more than 50 satellites in the whole year, and to build a network of 140 satellites in orbit by the end of the year.

According to reports, Jilin Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd. was established on December 1, 2014. Over the past eight years, Changguang Satellite has experienced three technological leaps in the field of satellite development, and has built the world's largest sub-meter commercial remote sensing satellite constellation.

According to public data, the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation, a core project under construction by Changguang Satellite Technology Co., Ltd., is an important optical remote sensing satellite constellation in China, covering a total area of 133 million square kilometers. The first group of satellites was launched on October 7, 2015. According to previous reports by CTOnews.com, Jilin-1 has been launched 24 times as of January this year, with 89 satellites in orbit, which can revisit any place in the world 28,030 times a day.

At present, the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation project has entered an accelerated networking stage, striving to build a high spatio-temporal resolution constellation of 300 remote sensing satellites by 2025, so as to form the ability to cover the earth's surface once a day.

Officials said that in the future, the long-light satellite will continue to invest in the construction of the "Jilin-1" satellite constellation with the goal of installing a global space monitoring network with no dead corner, all-time and all-weather, and is expected to have 138 satellites in orbit by the end of 2023. It has the ability to revisit for 10 minutes at any point in the world. By the end of 2025, we will have 300 satellites in orbit, with the ability of global sky coverage, and further expand high-resolution infrared, hyperspectral, SAR and other observation methods to provide customers with more abundant remote sensing data products.
