Based on Guizhou Moutai's current market capitalization of 2.2 trillion, China Mobile only needs to rise another 5% or so to surpass Guizhou Moutai's market capitalization and become the largest A-share company.

On March 12, two major operators, China Telecom and China Mobile, successively announced their commitment to dividends.

China Telecom revealed that the company attaches great importance to shareholder returns and actively fulfills its commitment to profit distribution, declaring interim dividends from 2022, and will gradually increase the annual profit distribution in the form of cash to more than 70% of the company's shareholders' profits in the three years after A-share issuance and listing, so as to continuously create value for the majority of shareholders. It is reported that China Telecom will be listed in A shares in August 2021. The time point mentioned by the company is 2024.

China Mobile also announced on the same day that in order to better give back to shareholders and share the fruits of development, it is expected that the dividend payout rate for the whole of 2022 will be further higher than that of the previous year, and the profits distributed in cash form will rise to more than 70% of the company's shareholders' profits in 2023.

CTOnews.com noted that shares of China Telecom and China Unicom also soared today, with China Telecom up 9.5 per cent and China Unicom up 5.4 per cent.
