According to data released by Shanghai Iron and Steel Federation, some lithium materials fell today, battery-grade lithium carbonate fell 7000 yuan / ton, the average price was 355000 yuan / ton, industrial-grade lithium carbonate fell 7500 yuan / ton, the average price was 319000 yuan / ton; lithium hydroxide fell 2000,0003,500 yuan / ton; nickel beans fell 5400 yuan / ton.

CTOnews.com noted that the price of lithium carbonate has skyrocketed over the past year, reaching an all-time high of nearly 600000 yuan per ton in mid-November 2022. But since then, the price of lithium carbonate has fallen all the way.

For the future trend, Shanxi Securities, Guolian Securities and other institutions forecast that the price of lithium carbonate will be about 350000 yuan / ton this year and next year, and the price of lithium carbonate will remain above 300000 yuan / ton from 2025 to 2026.

Ouyang Minggao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor of Tsinghua University, and vice chairman of the Association of 100, said at the China Electric vehicle Association Forum (2023) expert media exchange meeting that the lithium price will continue to return in the next few years, but it can not be as low as before, and a more reasonable price balance point may be about 200000 yuan / ton.

Industry insiders believe that from the point of view of the healthy development of the industry and the recycling value of lithium, the reasonable price of battery-grade lithium carbonate is about 150000 ~ 200000 yuan / ton. According to the current trend, the price of lithium carbonate will probably fall to 300000-350000 yuan / ton in 2023 and 200000 yuan / ton in 2024.
