CTOnews.com March 12, according to the Wall Street Journal, Walt Disney CEO Robert Iger (Robert Iger) this week revealed some details of plans to help the company's streaming business profitable, suggesting that Disney may raise prices further and begin to license its streaming content to competitors.

Speaking at Morgan Stanley's media and telecom conference in San Francisco, Mr Iger said he was bullish on Disney+, the company's flagship streaming platform, but predicted that subscriber growth would slow as the industry shifted its focus on profitability.

Iger says it needs to rationalize costs. "We obviously need to attract more subscribers, but I think one of the key issues we have to figure out is to develop a more reasonable pricing strategy."

Iger believes that they are only now beginning to learn more and adjust accordingly because there are problems with their pricing strategy in their pursuit of more global subscribers.

Last November, Robert Iger returned to Walt Disney as CEO. CTOnews.com reported that Iger had previously told the company's staff meeting that he would put creativity first and would pursue profitability rather than increasing the number of subscribers to Disney's streaming service.
