On March 12, according to foreign media reports, on February 27, less than two weeks before Silicon Valley Bank disclosed large-scale losses on March 9, Greg Becker, CEO of Silicon Valley Bank, sold $3.6 million of the company's shares, or about 24.86 million yuan, under a trading plan.

On February 27, Becker sold 12451 shares of its parent company, Silicon Valley Banking and Financial Group, for the first time in more than a year, according to regulatory filings. Becker submitted a plan to sell the shares on January 26. The transaction was made through a revocable trust controlled by Becker, according to the documents. So far, neither Becker nor Silicon Valley Bank and Financial Group immediately responded to questions about Becker's share sale or whether he was aware of the company's plans to raise capital when he submitted the plan.

In addition, according to foreign media reports, people in Silicon Valley and financial circles in the United States have publicly called on the federal government to push another bank to assume responsibility for its assets and debts after the collapse of Silicon Valley banks.

Meanwhile, more than 100 venture capital and investment firms, led by venture capital firm General Catalyst, have signed a statement supporting Silicon Valley banks, calling for reducing the impact of Silicon Valley bank failures and avoiding possible "extinction events" for technology companies. It also said that if Silicon Valley Bank is acquired by another entity, investors will continue to maintain a relationship with that entity.
