The four astronauts are NASA astronauts Nicole (Nicole Mann) and Josh Kasada (Josh Cassada), Japanese cosmonaut Wakata Koichi and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina.

Crew-5 is SpaceX's eighth manned space mission, the seventh mission to send astronauts to the space station, and NASA's sixth astronaut transport mission.
