CTOnews.com, March 12, according to the official news of China Railway Nanning Bureau, the catenary of Guangxi section of Guinan high-speed railway was completed half a month ahead of schedule on March 10, laying the foundation for the next step of line power transmission and joint test.

The catenary is an important part of the railway electrification project. The train is connected with the catenary wire through the pantograph on the roof to obtain electricity and provide power for the train operation, which is the key equipment for the high-speed train operation.

Data show that since the beginning of February last year, a total of 6858 catenary pillars and 814.37 km of catenary wires have been installed in the Guangxi section of Guinan high-speed railway.

The Guinan high-speed railway runs from Guiyang, Guizhou to Nanning, Guangxi in the south. It is an important part of the Bao (Silver) sea passage in China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network. It is also the first high-speed railway in Guangxi with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The construction of the main line is 964 kilometers, of which the Guangxi section is 564 kilometers, crossing 110 bridges and 45 tunnels.

CTOnews.com learned from the Nanning Bureau of China Railway that so far, the bridge, roadbed, tunnel and track laying of the Guangxi section of Guinan high-speed railway have been completed, five of the six new stations have been capped, and the static acceptance work is being carried out in an orderly manner. After the opening of the Guinan high-speed railway, the operating time from Nanning to Guiyang will be shortened from more than 5 hours to about 2 hours.
