In the morning main forum, Xue Guangtao, vice dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University, vice president and secretary general of Shanghai computer Society, introduced the characteristics and application prospects of distributed storage. With the advantages of performance, system reliability and scalability, distributed storage is widely used in emerging scenarios such as artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and so on. Traditional market share is also rising rapidly. He pointed out that the distributed storage system still faces challenges such as the improvement of reliability and stability and the reduction of operation and maintenance costs, which requires continuous innovation and breakthroughs from all walks of life.

Wu Chentao, professor and director of the computer Department of Shanghai Jiaotong University, with the topic of "Research on acceleration of hard disk failure recovery in distributed Learning", compares the existing traditional recovery methods based on erasure codes and some approximate recovery methods based on AI, and puts forward a partial recovery (PRM) method according to their different characteristics in pipeline parallelism, data recovery speed, training accuracy, recovery cost and so on. It can combine the advantages of existing erasure codes and AI recovery to achieve better results.

With the widespread application of container technology, the requirements for container storage are also rising. What are the storage requirements of the container? What are the advantages of IBM's container native storage IBM Storage Fusion, and how can it meet the new requirements put forward by container storage? Zhou Liyi, director of storage software business in IBM Greater China, gave the answer in the report.

From traditional storage to the rapid growth of distributed storage in recent years, what is the future direction of storage? Wu Jing, senior product manager of Lenovo Lingtuo, pointed out in the speech: do not focus too much on storage itself, but should find a new way to adapt to the new data form, help users liberate from data storage and data management, and focus more on data insight. Through the application case of car networking, Wang Zhuo, Tianyi Cloud solution architect, introduces how HBLocK can help customers manage the storage resources scattered in the LAN, integrate them into a unified storage resource pool, and provide high-performance block storage services through the standard iSCSI protocol.

Song Jiayu, editor-in-chief of DOIT and head of Baiyi Storage Research Institute, analyzed the reasons for the continued popularity of super-fusion in his speech, and put forward that the application of object storage is an important index to measure the level of data application. In his speech, he pointed out that the distributed storage market needs a breakthrough.

In addition, on the day of the meeting, representatives of Tencent Cloud, Aliyun Storage, Amazon Cloud Technology, China Mobile Cloud, Yihualu and other vendors shared the trends and applications of distributed storage technology, object storage and data innovation achievements. During the round-table conversation, Guo Li, senior solution architect manager of Amazon Cloud Technology, Song Jiayu, editor-in-chief of DOT Storage Research Institute, and Zhu Pengbo, editor-in-chief of DOIT, had a heated discussion on "how object storage drives the development of cloud computing industry".
