Shipments of mobile phone lenses in February were 80.671 million, down 26% from the same period last year, while shipments of car lenses were 7.921 million, up 39.7% from the same period last year.

Shunyu Optics said that mobile phone lens shipments dropped 26.0% compared with the same period last year, mainly because the shipments base was high in the same period last year and the overall smartphone market demand was still weak; month-on-month increase of 21.0%. It is mainly due to the low base of shipments due to the Spring Festival holiday in January.

Shipments of in-car lenses rose 39.7% year-on-year, mainly because the market demand for in-car cameras increased with the alleviation of shortages of key parts in the car supply chain.

Shipments of mobile camera modules decreased by 39.2% compared with the same period last year, mainly due to the high base of shipments in the same period last year and the weak demand in the overall smartphone market; the month-on-month decline of 25.7% was mainly due to early shipment of some products in January at the request of customers.
