CTOnews.com March 10 news, IDC released the "China wearable device market monthly sales tracking report", the Chinese wrist wear device market sales of 44.55 million units in 2022, down 13% from the same period last year.

CTOnews.com learned from IDC data that in 2022, sales of adult smartwatches were 17.18 million, up 0.6 percent from the same period last year, while shipments were down 7.6 percent from the same period last year; 14.61 million were sold in the children's smartwatch market, down 12 percent from the same period last year; and 12.76 million were sold in the bracelet market, down 27.1 percent from the same period last year.

IDC said adult smartwatches still accounted for the highest proportion of sales in the wristwear market, with overall sales stable despite a dismal performance during the year-end promotion at the end of the fourth quarter. IDC predicts that with the gradual recovery of the consumer environment, the 1000 yuan and entry-level market for adult smartwatches may pick up somewhat.
