BMW's total revenue in 2022 exceeded 142.6 billion euros (CTOnews.com Note: currently about 1.05 trillion yuan), an increase of 28.2 percent over the same period last year. Total car sales reached 2399632, of which pure electric models rose 107.7 per cent year-on-year to 215752, accounting for 9 per cent of the group's total global sales.

In addition, BMW said it delivered a total of 791985 BMW and MINI vehicles in China in 2022, with sales of pure electric models up 91.6 per cent year-on-year.

The company said it would go all out to electrify in 2023, with the goal of increasing pure electric vehicle sales to 15 per cent of the group's total sales. It is reported that the BMW Group will hold its annual financial report on March 15. Interested partners can pay attention to it.

According to reports, BMW invested 6.624 billion euros in R & D in 2022, an increase of 5.2% over the same period last year. These investments are mainly used in two directions: one is the research and development of new models and the sixth generation BMW eDrive electric drive technology; the other is the digital field, especially artificial intelligence, autopilot, human-computer interaction and so on.

In 2022, BMW spent 7.791 billion euros on factories, equipment and fixed assets, an increase of 55.4 percent over the same period last year, including the construction of a new Debrecen plant in Hungary and a large-scale upgrading of existing plants in Germany, Mexico and the United States, followed by the transformation and upgrading of more than 30 plants around the world in accordance with the BMW iFACTORY production strategy.

In China, BMW has established the largest R & D team outside Germany, of which brilliance BMW Dadong factory product upgrade project was completed in April last year; brilliance BMW production base large-scale upgrading project (Lida plant) officially opened in June; brilliance BMW announced the launch of a new power battery project in November, with a total investment of about 10 billion yuan.

By the end of 2022, BMW Group had a total of 149000 employees worldwide (2021: 118000 / + 25.7%). In addition to the nearly 26000 employees of BMW brilliance incorporated into the BMW Group, there has also been an increase in the number of employees in R & D, IT and global production networks.
