Altman made the remarks at the Morgan Stanley conference. He said the artificial intelligence company would focus on developing a platform to sell API (application programming interface) to the outside world, as well as killer applications like ChatGPT.

Bain, a management consultancy, has a global partnership with OpenAI, allowing it to embed artificial intelligence in its customer service.

Companies that work with OpenAI can use their own data with a copy of the model, alleviating data security concerns. Coca-Cola, for example, is working with OpenAI and Bain to use OpenAI's ChatGPT and DALL-E platforms to produce personalized advertising copies, graphics and messages.

As an experienced entrepreneur and investor, Altman said investors should value the company as a company aimed at achieving general artificial intelligence.

Altman adds that individual users can also exert more control over how artificial intelligence is used. The company said last month that it was developing an updated version of ChatGPT so that users could customize it to address possible biases in artificial intelligence.

"We will soon introduce more services so that users can exert more control over the system and let it do this or that."

Altman admits that artificial intelligence systems cannot be 100 per cent accurate, but he expects apps, including AI lawyers and AI doctors, to be available on people's phones soon.
