ASRock's W790 WS is mainly optimized to support Wmur2400 series processors and 4-channel memory. At the same time, this motherboard is compatible with Wmur3400 series processors, but does not support 8-channel memory.

In terms of specifications, ASRock W790 WS provides 8 DDR5 RDIMM slots, supports four-channel memory and 2DPC design, and has a maximum installation capacity of 2TB and ECC memory. The W790 WS motherboard supports the PCI-Express 5.0specification and is equipped with four PCI-Express 5.0x16 slots and one PCI-Express 4.0x16 slot, four sets of Blazing M.2 SSD slots (PCIe Gen5 x4) to support the highest 128Gbps transmission speed, two sets of USB4 / Thunderbolt 4 Type-C ports, support for 40Gbps speed and PD 3.0 fast charging technology, and a set of U.2 mini SAS (SFF-8643) interfaces.
