CTOnews.com March 9 news, Mercedes-Benz now announced the EQE SUV U.S. pricing, this is the brand EQS after the launch of the second all-electric sport utility vehicle. EQE starts at $77900 (CTOnews.com notes: currently about 542,000 yuan) and is expected to arrive in stores in the spring.

This all-electric SUV is positioned between the EQB and EQS SUV, and its AMG version is also released.

According to reports, the EQE series will be available in three configurations: EQE 350+ SUV, EQE 350 4MATIC SUV and EQE 500 4MATIC SUV, available in Premium, Exclusive and Pinnacle, and will offer 4MATIC all-wheel drive system for the first time.

The EQE SUV can be understood as an SUV version of the EQE sedan already on the market. The overall appearance is very similar, but it is raised. Interestingly, the EQE SUV has a smaller body and wheelbase than the EQE sedan. The declared Beijing Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV body length, width and height are 4880/2032/1679mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3030 mm.

The mainline EQE SUV will offer three electric powertrain options when it goes on sale, starting with the EQE350 Plus, which has a single 215 kW motor mounted on the rear axle. This gives the EQE350 Plus 288 horsepower and 417 pound-feet of torque, and 0 to 60 mph full acceleration in just 6.3 seconds. The EQE350 4Matic adds a second electric motor to the front axle for fully variable all-wheel drive, but the total output remains at 288 hp. However, torque climbed to 564 pound-feet, and with additional traction, the 0-to-60 mph foot acceleration dropped to 6.2 seconds. Finally, the EQE500 4Matic boosts the power of its two motors, boosting output to 536 horsepower and 633 pound-feet of torque. It has a 0- 60mph acceleration time of 4.6 seconds, but has an electronic speed limit of 130mph (209.21km/h) like other models.

All three models have the same 90.6 kWh battery, the same as the EQE sedan. Using a 7.7 kW AC charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 100% in 9.5 hours. Support 170 kW DC fast charging, the above charging time will be shortened to 32 minutes. Mercedes estimates that the EQE SUV will have a range of 342 miles (550.4 km) in European WLTP conditions.

The electric SUV features 19-inch wheels, while the EQE500 comes standard with 20-inch wheels, and Airmatic air suspension will be optional, adding 1 inch of ground clearance at the push of a button at speeds below 43 mph. Air suspension can also lower the body by 0.8 inches (20.32 mm) in Sport mode or at speeds above 75 mph to reduce drag. The rear wheel steering system is also standard on the EQE500 (optional on the EQE350).

Except for the larger headroom, the interior of the EQE SUV is basically the same as the sedan version, and the standard configuration includes the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) infotainment system with a 12.8-inch vertical center screen and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard. Mercedes 'giant 56-inch Hyperscreen is optional, combining three monitors into a single curved glass panel. In addition, MBUX supports the "Hey Mercedes" voice assistant, provides fingerprint authentication for up to seven independent user profiles, and supports standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless connections.

The EQE SUV also supports all features of the Mercedes Drive Assistance Technology Suite, including standard pre-crash warning and brake assist, lane keeping assist and blind spot monitoring. Optional driver assistance package adds lane change steering assistance, enhanced adaptive cruise control, etc.

Also released is its AMG version, the AMG EQE SUV, which reflects its performance version identity through many detailed adjustments. This includes Panamerican grille, Afatbach LOGO, exclusive rim, carbon fiber interior panel, AMG steering wheel, etc. The UI also provides a more combat style.

The AMG EQE SUV's dual-motor all-wheel drive system produces 617 horsepower and 701 pound-feet of torque, boosting top speed to 137 mph. The optional AMG Dynamic Enhancement Kit boosts output power to 677 hp and 738 pound-feet with its Boost feature, and top speed also climbs to 149 mph (239.79 km/h), while acceleration from 0-60 mph is reduced to 3.4 seconds.

The AMG EQE SUV features the same 90.6 kWh battery as the rest of the EQE SUV family, the same AC and DC charging speeds, and a WLTP range of 233 to 292 miles.
