CTOnews.com March 9, Microsoft today pushed a preview update of Win11 Build 23403 to Dev Channel's Windows Insider project members. The most noteworthy improvements in this update are the addition of the "Recommended" file view in the file manager and the use of shortcut keys to perform right-click menu operations.

A new "Recommended" file view has been added to the file manager, but this feature is only available to devices that have registered with Azure Active Directory. This area displays files related to the meeting, as well as shared documents that have recently been accessed or commented on by others.

Microsoft has also optimized the right-click menu in the file manager, allowing users to use keyboard shortcuts to execute commands in the right-click menu.

Real-time subtitles can help everyone and people who are deaf or hard of hearing to read real-time subtitles in their mother tongue. Only English (USA) is available in Win11 2022 Update.

File recommendation (File Recommendations) File Recommendations will soon appear in File Explorer Home to give users access to the most relevant file content. Users who log in to Windows using the Azure Active Directory (AAD) account will be able to use this feature (as shown in the following figure).

The recommended file will be the cloud file associated with the account, either owned by the user or shared with other users.

Redesign the in-application help page Microsoft has made a comprehensive transformation of the in-application command help page in voice access to make it easier to use and understand. The search bar allows users to quickly find commands, and various categories provide further guidance. Each command now has its own variant description and examples to make it easier to understand and use.

Optimized Touch Keyboard Microsoft reopened the setting option after fixing these BUG. Under Settings > time and language > Keyboard, display Touch Keyboard provides three options:

Never: even if the hardware keyboard is not connected, it will not jump out of the touch keyboard when enabled.

When no keyboard attached: the touch keyboard is displayed only when the hardware keyboard is not connected.

Always: even if connected to the hardware keyboard, but also jump out of the touch keyboard.
