AiEDU is a non-profit organization supported by Microsoft, Google, OpenAI and AT&T, which provides free materials and teacher training services to deepen students' understanding of artificial intelligence. AiEDU's idea is to let children understand the nature, limitations and prospects of artificial intelligence technology and prepare them for work that requires artificial intelligence.

On Tuesday, aiEDU called for the expansion of artificial intelligence education across the United States at the South by Southwest Education Conference in Austin, Texas, and announced an expansion of supporters and partner schools. So far, aiEDU's education program has covered 100000 students and has established links with school districts that represent 1.5 million low-income and underserved children in the United States.

AiEDU was founded in 2019. Kotland once thought that it would take several years for educators to generate widespread demand for artificial intelligence education programs. However, with the popularity of image generators such as OpenAI chat robots and Dall-E, interest in generative artificial intelligence has increased rapidly, which has greatly boosted the demand for education. His mother, a teacher at a public school in Akron, Ohio, said she wanted students to learn the technology.

Cortland's team is working with the School District Organization Education Service Center to serve 420000 students in Texas, 300000 in Wisconsin, 250000 in Ohio, and public school districts in Atlanta, Georgia, Spokane, Washington, and Anaheim, California. Their goal is to ensure that these students are prepared for jobs that may require artificial intelligence in the next few years.

"as a result, students who have no experience or do not know how to use tools and who have not developed projects using generative artificial intelligence will be eliminated by experienced students."
