CTOnews.com March 7 news, DJI DJI officially announced that the Ronin 4D movie machine has officially supported the recording of Apple ProRes RAW video.

ProRes RAW, a high-quality lossy video compression format developed by Apple, is the successor to Apple Intermediate Codec and was launched with Final Cut Studio 2 in 2007.

CTOnews.com found that in order to record Apple ProRes RAW video, users also need to buy a license to use DJI Ronin 4D RAW, which costs 5999 yuan. Purchase this license to activate Apple's ProRes RAW recording function in the parameter adjustment software interface, which needs to be used with DJI PROSSD and DJI PROSSD silos.

Released in 2021, DJI Ronin 4D is an integrated film-level shooting solution that integrates film-grade imaging system, four-axis head system, LiDAR laser focus system and wireless image transmission control system. DJI's latest full-frame flagship camera Zen X9, X9-8K and X9-6K versions are available, X9-8K supports up to 8K / 75fps specification, X9-6K supports 6K / 60fps and 4K / 120fps video recording. With the help of DJI self-developed image chip and the new image processing platform CineCore 3.0, both X9 cameras can directly record Apple ProRes RAW / ProRes 422 HQ / H.264 video, bringing more space for professional creation.
