In the telephone conference after the release of the financial report, Liang Jianzhang, co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of Ctrip Group, said that with the full liberalization of China, the outbound travel booking of Ctrip has recovered to more than 40% before the epidemic, and 2023 is destined to be an exciting year of recovery and growth.

CTOnews.com learned from the official data of Ctrip that since the first quarter, Ctrip Group's domestic machine wine booking has exceeded the same period in 2019, outbound travel booking growth of more than 300% year-on-year.

Sun Jie, CEO of Ctrip Group, pointed out that since the first quarter, the domestic short-distance travel booking on Ctrip platform has doubled compared with the same period in 2019, long-distance travel booking has also exceeded the same period level in 2019, domestic hotel and air ticket booking volume has also exceeded the same period in 2019, and it is expected that domestic business will continue to grow in 2023.

In addition, Liang Jianzhang gave a positive and optimistic assessment of the recovery of the global tourism market in 2023. Liang Jianzhang said that since the first quarter of 2023, despite capacity restrictions, outbound travel bookings on Ctrip platform have recovered to more than 40% of pre-epidemic levels. In his view, with the recovery of international flight capacity, China's outbound tourism will begin to pick up gradually in the second quarter.
