The new car will feature a full-size three-row layout, excellent passenger space performance and a powerful intelligent system, the same size as the Cadillac Escalade or Kia Telluride (the concept car is 4930/2055/1790mm in length, width and height, and 3100mm in wheelbase).

It is reported that the car is based on the E-GMP pure electric platform and is expected to be officially released on March 15, with detailed parameters such as power revealed at the end of March, and is scheduled to be officially launched in the second half of the year. Kia also announced that it will launch two pure electric models, the EV6 and EV5, in China this year, and plans to introduce six electric models based on the E-GMP platform by 2027.

Kia has previously confirmed that the car will be first launched in the European market next year. It is reported that the platform is an 800V pure electric vehicle architecture, which can charge up to 350kW and can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in 20-30 minutes.

Kia EV9 front face is very rich, "KIA" logo is located at the top of the front grille, with vertical and point layout of LED headlights, the lighting effect is very unique, LED taillights use three-pronged shape, depending on the model, will also carry traditional glass rearview mirrors and electronic virtual rearview mirrors.

The mass production version of EV9 uses a large number of concept car designs that were unveiled two years ago, and the special-shaped headlights on both sides with matrix light sources can attract attention and give the new car a sense of the future. In addition, the enclosed front grille also brings a strong style, and it is suspected to be equipped with a vent design above the grille, which may provide some help for heat dissipation and wind resistance.

The opposite door and digital virtual rearview mirror used in the concept car do not appear in the mass production model, leaving only the hidden door handle which is helpful to aerodynamics, which can create a smooth body surface to reduce the resistance when traveling.

The rear part of the new car uses a fairly recognizable light-guided LED taillight with a three-pronged shape to create an avant-garde and technological look for EV9.
