CTOnews.com, March 6 (Xinhua)-- A sequel to the classic sci-fi thriller "Alien" is about to begin. According to Variety.com, the new "Alien" film of the 20th century will be officially filmed on March 9.

According to reports, the film will be directed by "hold your breath" director Federico Alvarez (Fred Alvarez) and co-produced by "Alien" and "Prometheus" series director Ridley Scott (Redley Scott).

The new work will still follow the formula of the Alien series, which tells the story of "a group of young people from a distant world who find themselves fighting the scariest life forms in the universe," the source said. The movie is tentatively titled "Alien: Romulus".
