CTOnews.com March 6 news, intellectual property information shows that Xiaomi Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. has applied for more than 500 patents since its inception, of which more than 210 have been authorized.

From the perspective of industrial and commercial information, Xiaomi Automobile Co., Ltd. and Xiaomi Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. were established in 2021, with registered capital of 10 billion yuan and 1 billion yuan respectively.

In August 2022, Xiaomi founder, chairman and CEO Lei Jun revealed in his annual speech that Xiaomi's self-driving team, which has formed a team of 500 people, plans to expand to 600 by the end of 2022, with the goal of entering the first camp of the self-driving industry by 2024. According to the financial report, Xiaomi invested 829 million yuan in innovative businesses, including cars, in the third quarter of 2022, and Xiaomi has a R & D team of more than 1800 people.

According to previous information, Xiaomi Motor will build a complete vehicle plant in two phases in the Beijing Economic and technological Development Zone, with a cumulative annual production capacity of 300000 vehicles and a production capacity of 150000 vehicles for both Phase I and Phase II. In 2024, the first car of Xiaomi will be launched and mass produced in Beijing Economic and technological Development Zone.

CTOnews.com reported earlier today that Lei Jun said at the plenary meeting of the Beijing delegation that Xiaomi car-building has made more progress than expected with the high concern and support of the leaders. It has recently successfully completed the winter test and is expected to achieve mass production in the first half of next year.
