CTOnews.com March 6 news, TrendForce Jibang Consulting latest report shows that due to the small number of working days and the brand's reduced orders for de-inventory, shipments of pen panels are estimated to be 3870 million in the first quarter of 2023, a month-on-month decline of 10.4% and a year-on-year decline of 45.6%.

According to the report, as the brand's inventory gradually returns to controllable water level in the second quarter, and the number of working days increases, it is estimated that about 4630 pencils will be shipped in the second quarter, an increase of 19.6% from the previous quarter.

TrendForce Jibang Consulting said that from the second quarter of last year, the brand began to significantly reduce panel purchases, and continued to adjust the purchase volume in the second half of last year, the overall panel purchase volume was lower than the whole machine shipments, indicating that panel inventory continued to be removed, while observing the trend in the last three quarters, the difference between brand machine shipments and panel purchases narrowed quarter by quarter.

CTOnews.com learned from the TrendForce Jibang Consulting report that overall, although sales of laptops remained weak in the first half of 2023, shipments of laptops are expected to pick up thanks to the return of brand inventory of laptops to healthy water levels. In the second half of the year, due to the expected slowdown in interest rates in the United States, the cooling of inflation in Europe, and the recovery of social and economic vitality after the recovery of domestic demand in China, the demand for notebook panels has the opportunity to return to the traditional pace of stock preparation during the peak season.
