CTOnews.com March 6, according to the Wall Street Journal, Broadcom CEO Chen Fuyang (Hock Tan) said the company is expected to benefit from the artificial intelligence chat robot boom.

Chen Fuyang pointed out that the company's sales of Ethernet devices for artificial intelligence applications are likely to rise from $200m last year to more than $800m this year (currently about 5.528 billion yuan), as large cloud computing companies increasingly use text generation tools such as ChatGPT.

In an earnings call held last week, Chen Fuyang said he had encountered cloud computing customers eager to buy products from the company.

According to the financial report, Broadcom's net revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2023 was $8.915 billion (currently about 61.603 billion yuan), up 16% from a year earlier, while net profit was $3.774 billion (currently about 26.078 billion yuan), up 53% from a year earlier.
