Shulou(Shulou.com)11/24 Report--
CTOnews.com, March 5 (Xinhua)-- Apple's next-generation iMac has entered the "advanced development stage" of engineering verification testing (EVT), Bloomberg's Mark Gurman said.
Gurman said in today's newsletter that Apple's new iMac will have the same 24-inch display size and color options as the current model.
Gurman also said that Apple's new iMac may use the upcoming M3 chip, internal design changes and a new stent manufacturing process, which will be launched as early as the second half of 2023. It is reported that the M3 chip will be based on TSMC's latest 3nm process to improve performance and energy efficiency.
According to CTOnews.com, the last time Apple updated its iMac was in April 2021, when it was equipped with an M1 chip and an ultra-thin shell, with seven colors to choose from, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue and silver, making it the only iMac in Apple's product line. The 27-inch iMac and iMac Pro, based on Intel processors, have been discontinued in the past two years.
Gurman has previously said that the larger screen iMac may return, but he did not share any new information about this possibility today.
