According to the statistical bulletin of the communications industry in 2022 recently released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, 887000 5G base stations were built in China last year, accounting for more than 60% of the world. In 2022, three basic telecommunications enterprises and China Iron Tower Co., Ltd. completed a total investment of 180.3 billion yuan in 5G, accounting for 43% of fixed assets investment in telecommunications.

By the end of 2022, 5G base stations had been built and opened in China, accounting for 21.3% of the total number of mobile base stations, an increase of 7 percentage points over the end of last year.
